The Whanganui West Catchment Group is focused on the five main catchments within its area, these being;
Ototoka, Okehu, Kai Iwi, Mowhanau and Omapu Streams
The committee is currently made up of 15 members that established the Whanganui West Catchment Group Incorporated Society in June 2021. They are farmers, lifestyle block owners and community members with a shared desire to improve the state of our environment and make Whanganui West the best place to live, work and play!
The committee meets regularly at the Kai Iwi Hall.
The Whanganui West Catchment Group was established in 2021 currently made up of Farmers encompasses the Kai Iwi Fresh Water Management Unit comprised of five main streams Ototoka, Okehu, Kai Iwi, Mowhanau and Ompau.
